Multiple Commercial Burglary Arrests

On the morning of February 18, 2016, a vehicle occupied by Kenneth Jaggli, 44, Anthony Frederico, 31, Lindsey Boyle, 32, all of Ventura,  and Casey Schmelz, 33, of Camarillo,  was stopped by Sheriff’s Deputies in the City of Thousand Oaks and found to contain a significant amount of copper wire.  The subsequent investigation revealed that the copper wire had been stolen from a commercial building located in the 700 block of Science Drive in the City of Moorpark.
Upon further inspection of the building, it was determined that an additional large amount of copper wire and high-end electrical circuit breakers had been stolen from this location as well.
The estimated dollar loss from this location exceeds $500,000.
Detectives from the Moorpark Police Department, Thousand Oaks Police Department, Camarillo Police Department, Sheriff’s Special Crimes Unit, and Crime Analysis Unit conducted a joint investigation into several similar commercial burglaries that occurred in the County of Ventura between the dates of June 2015 and February 2016.  This investigation identified Jaggli and Frederico as suspects in two additional commercial burglaries, one in the area of the 100 block of East Howard Road and one in the area of the 2800 block of Pleasant Valley Road both in the City of
Camarillo.  The estimated dollar loss on these two cases exceeds $70,000.  Jaggli was also identified as a suspect involved with the theft of a vehicle from the 300 block of Science Drive in the City of Moorpark.
Kenneth Jaggli was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility, Ventura for multiple counts of burglary and one count of vehicle theft.  Frederico was arrested and booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for multiple counts of burglary, one count of possession of stolen property and identity theft.  Casey Schmelz was arrested and booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for one count of burglary and misdemeanor drug charges.  Lindsey Boyle was arrested and booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for one count of burglary.
