On Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:36 p.m., the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 911 call of a shooting victim in the 400 block of W. Ramona Street.  Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male shooting victim who was suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his upper leg.  He was treated at the scene by Ventura City Fire personnel, and immediately transported to VCMC. During the investigation, officers learned the victim was riding his bicycle and was approached by the suspect(s) who were in a passing vehicle.  There is no description of the suspect vehicle.  The victim waited approximately 1 hour before reporting the shooting. There is no additional information at this time.  An additional press release will be sent out when the information is available. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Ventura Police Department at 339-4488.
