Prowling, Burglary, Sexual battery


On Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 5:12 a.m., the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 911 call from the victim stating that a suspect; Male, unknown race, 25 to 30, 5’8-5’10, wearing a black mask and black clothing, was inside her residence and had just fled out through her patio slider. Officers arrived on-scene quickly but were unable to locate the suspect.

During the investigation, officers learned the suspect entered the victim’s residence through an un-locked slider.  The victim was asleep in her bed and the suspect lay down next to her for a short period of time, and then he began to touch her inappropriately. In fear of the suspect, the victim yelled out for help. The suspect fled through the open slider. It is unknown at this time if any property was taken from inside the victim’s residence.
