Bernie Sanders Rally

On Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 10 a.m., the Bernie Sanders Campaign is holding a rally that is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged. Admission is first come first served. The Ventura Police Department and partnering agencies would like to remind motorists of street closures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Traffic & Parking

Please obey all traffic laws and direction from officers and police personnel as directed. In addition to heavy vehicular traffic, there will be a significant amount of pedestrian traffic in the areas surrounding Ventura Community College. The VPD Traffic Unit would like to remind motorists to be cognizant of pedestrians crossing the roadways and to yield to their right-of-way.

Loma Vista Road will be closed from Central Campus Way to Ashwood Avenue beginning at 7 a.m.

Event parking will be available at Ventura College on Central Campus, East Campus and North Campus Lots open at 7 a.m. Parking is also available on public streets, carpooling is always encouraged.

Event Details

There will be only one entrance to the event; participants should enter from Loma Vista and West Campus Way (pedestrian traffic will be blocked from Telegraph onto West Campus Way). Attendees will be screened at the entrance. For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, coolers and signs or banners on sticks will not be allowed through security. Participants are encouraged to RSVP to this event at go.berniesanders.com.
