Shooting and Stabbing

On Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10:50 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department were dispatched to the 5500 block of Cypress Road to a reported fight.  When officers arrived, a 19 year old stabbing victim was located in the 5300 block of Cypress Road.  He sustained multiple stab wounds and was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center.  While officers were conducting the investigation at the scene, a 23 year old shooting victim arrived at the Ventura County Medical Center.

During the investigation, officers learned that the two victims sustained their wounds on Cypress Road during an altercation.  Investigators are looking into the motive for the assaults.  Both victims are listed in stable condition at the Ventura County Medical Center.
