Firearm Arrest

On Friday, June 3, 2016 at 8 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police contacted Daniel Matos inside of Beck Park for possessing and drinking an alcoholic beverage. Matos, 37, was subsequently arrested for possessing an open container of an alcoholic beverage. Officers searched Matos’ backpack that he was carrying and a loaded semi-automatic handgun was found inside. Matos was additionally arrested for a felon in possession of a firearm.
