Fillmore Episcopal Church’s resident artist, Karen Scott Browdy, will take up a limited actual residence in the church’s Parish Hall, 2nd and Saratoga Streets, Fillmore, beginning Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Here she will offer techniques for making Artist Trading Cards, playing card-sized masterpieces which are traded only, not sold, as networking tools among artists. Finished cards will then be ready for trading and collecting among class members.
The class is for adults, 18 and older, and all materials and tools are provided. No sign-ups are necessary. Mediums include acrylic paint, prismacolor pencil, water color and mixed media collage. Also supplied will be blank cards and a plastic sleeve for holding completed cards. The fee is $5 for each 2 hour session, payable at class attendance. A portion of these fees will be donated to the church.
Classes will continue in August; dates to be determined at the July meeting. For more information, contact Karen Browdy at: email@example.com.
