Robbery Arrests

On Friday, July 8, 2016 at 4:49 p.m., Officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to the Asahi Market located at 660 South Oxnard Blvd regarding a robbery that occurred at that location.
Two suspects entered the business, produced a replica firearm and assaulted the clerk at the business.  Both suspects fled the business prior to Officers arrival. One of the suspects fled in a black SUV.  Gaspar Suarez, 21, was located a short distance away and matched the description of one of the suspects involved in the robbery. Gaspar was identified as being involved in the robbery and was arrested.
Later that evening Officers on patrol in the area of the 2000 block of San Benito Avenue located the black SUV and the driver of the vehicle, Jose Rivera, 18, was identified as the other party involved in the robbery at Asahi Market was arrested.
