Homicide Investigation

(OXNARD, Calif) - On July 29, 2016 at 5:30 a.m., the Oxnard Police Department received a call for service of an unresponsive person in the north alley of the 800 block of Cooper Road. When officers arrived, they located a Hispanic male victim, in his mid 20s, lying in the alley. It appeared that the victim had been assaulted. Emergency medical services (EMS) responded to the scene, but the victim was pronounced deceased. Major Crimes Investigators were notified and responded. This incident is being investigated as a homicide. This is Oxnard’s ninth homicide of the year.
The City of Oxnard offers a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect(s) in homicide cases. Investigators are urging anyone with information about this homicide to call the Oxnard Police Department.
