Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest

On Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 1:38 a.m., the Ventura Police Department Communication Center received a call regarding a male subject that had struck a female with a replica firearm and nearby security guards were detaining the suspect.  Officers arrived on scene on S Chestnut Street and found the suspect, Jordan Myers, 23, being detained and a female victim with injuries to the back of her head and hand. After further investigation, officers learned that Myers was seen striking an unknown female with a pellet/BB gun.  The female bystander walked over to prevent Myers from continuing to strike the unknown female.  Myers stopped attacking the unknown female and began to strike the female bystander several times on the back of her head and hand with the pellet/BB gun until nearby security guards came over and stopped Myers from doing any more harm.  The unknown female that was first attacked by Myers was gone upon the arrival of police and was not located.  The other female bystander victim was transported to the hospital to be treated for her injuries. Myers was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and was later booked into the Ventura County Jail.
