Disturbance Foot Pursuit Arrest


On Friday, August 12, 2016 at 9:07 p.m., two patrol officers were contacted by a citizen who reported a suspect was disturbing near the AM PM Store in the 600 block of South Mills Road.  The suspect was disturbing people in the area and breaking glass bottles on the ground.  When the officers arrived and attempted to speak with the suspect, Ryan Evanson, 38, he picked up a handful of broken glass from the ground, threw it at the officers and then ran away.  The officers chased after him and after a brief foot pursuit, he was caught and arrested. At the conclusion of the investigation, the suspect was booked into Ventura County Jail on the charges of assaulting an officer and resisting arrest.  No one was injured during this incident.
