Lake Isabella Fire

Lake Isabella, CA - At 7 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016, the Kern County Fire Department received multiple calls for an out building that was fully involved 6500 block of Lake Isabella Blvd. Kern County Fire crews arrived on scene to find multiple trailers on fire. Immediately, Kern County Fire Battalion 7 initiated a second alarm for their incident. Access was a challenge to attack this fire, along with power lines that were damaged and causing problems for fire fighters. Assistance from the Cedar Fire was given to assist in this attack. Approximately 15 to 20 trailers were destroyed. Kern County Fire did have an extended on scene time for mop up. Cover engines have been moved up to take any other emergency calls for the Lake. Fire is under investigation.
