On Friday, September 2, 2016 at 1:21 a.m., the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a call of vandalism in progress in the 2500 block of Main Street.  An alert citizen called 911 after observing two subjects climb onto the roof of a business in that area.  Ventura Police Officers arrived at that location and surrounded the building.  While on scene, officers noticed that several businesses on both sides of Main Street had sustained fresh graffiti vandalism.
As officers surrounded the building in question, they observed the two suspects attempting to hide on the roof of a business.  Officers ordered the suspects to climb off of the roof via the route that they climbed up.  After several minutes, the two juvenile suspects, 16, climbed down and were taken into custody.  The suspects were in possession of spray paint cans, marijuana, and Xanax pills.  Both suspects were cited for vandalism, prowling, and conspiracy to commit a crime.  They were released to their parents.
